"Swallowed Up In Christ"

Image
Hey everyone! I hope all of your weeks went well. If anything out of the ordinary happened, feel free to send me an update via email!! Here in the Philippines, it's been pretty busy. Many opportunities to spread the light of Christ! For this weeks email, I'm going to try a different format! If you guys have a preference, just let me know, haha. Alright, let's get into the week. Tuesday - Woke up at 5am to go to Zone Conference  - Got free lunch with my Zone! - Were able to teach 2 lessons that night!! Wednesday  - Traveled another hour to Zone Interviews - Went to lunch with our Mission Presidents wife (Sister Cobing) she's so funny  - Walked around in a thunderstorm for 4 hours looking for a new apartment. I'm convinced this "new apartment" is a myth. If not, it's very illusive  Thursday  - Studied in the morning - Had District council meeting in Bambang  - Visited our friend Ashley who's is getting baptised next month!! - Caught a...

How Do You Hear Him?

Hey everyone!! Another week down! This one flew by! We had some awesome moments this week. I hope you all had a great week! If any of you guys need any prayers, shoot me an email. I would love to pray for you . Alright lets get into this past week!    Tuesday. In the morning we went "House Hunting". We didn't really know how to go about finding a new apartment. And it didn't help that some people wouldn't even hear us out cause we're missionaries. Cmon now. You might ask why were moving apartment. Well even if you weren't asking that, I'm going to tell you anyways. First me set the stage. Have you guys seen the movie Ratatouille? It truly is a classic. Do you guys remember that scene when the whole roof collapses because of all the rats living there? This is our fear at the moment. During our personal studies, we frequently hear what one might call an Irish jig. Pretty crazy stuff. Unfortunately we weren't able tk find an apartment. The rest of ...

Shout Out To All Of The Moms!

Alright ya'll, first and foremost, go hug your Mom and tell her you love her. Our moms are the best for real. They do so many things for us that we don't even realize. Let her know how much she means to you!!     Okay, let's get into the week! It was long but really good. Let's just say we got the boot almost everyday. It's all good though! No effort is wasted in the work in the gathering of Israel!!     Tuesday was a really good day. We were able to teach 4 lessons and found a new family to teach!! Such a blessing. Teaching a family is a privilege indeed. We are going back to them this Tuesday and we're super excited! The crazy thing is, we walked by the dad on the way to a little neighborhood and ended up not finding anyone there. On the way back to the main road, we passed him again and my companion said " Elder. We should go talk to him. " We ended up having an amazing lesson with him and his kids! Always listen to the promptings of the H...

Hey everyonnnne! First of all, I love and miss you all! Second of all, sorry for not emailing last week. I have a reason which I will talk about later in my email . The past two weeks have been full of so much good! A couple really cool things have happened here in my area, and just here in the Philippines in general. Alright, enough stalling. Lets jump into this!     We're going to start right off with a bang. Last week we got transfer calls and I was very surprised to see a TR beside my name. So yes. I am now training! I traveled to the mission home the next day ( which is around 4 hours away ) and stayed with the office Elders on thursday night. Friday morning we trainers had our " trainers training ". Which I was not complaining about. I'll tell you all something. I needed this training. I felt very inadequate, and didn't know if I could measure up to this task. I had many thoughts along the lines of " I'm not fluent in tagalog, how am I gunna tal...
