"Swallowed Up In Christ"

     Hey everyone! I hope all of your weeks went well. If anything out of the ordinary happened, feel free to send me an update via email!! Here in the Philippines, it's been pretty busy. Many opportunities to spread the light of Christ! For this weeks email, I'm going to try a different format! If you guys have a preference, just let me know, haha. Alright, let's get into the week.


Tuesday
- Woke up at 5am to go to Zone Conference 
- Got free lunch with my Zone!
- Were able to teach 2 lessons that night!!


Wednesday 
- Traveled another hour to Zone Interviews
- Went to lunch with our Mission Presidents wife (Sister Cobing) she's so funny 
- Walked around in a thunderstorm for 4 hours looking for a new apartment. I'm convinced this "new apartment" is a myth. If not, it's very illusive 


Thursday 
- Studied in the morning
- Had District council meeting in Bambang 
- Visited our friend Ashley who's is getting baptised next month!!
- Caught a free ride home from our branch President


Friday
- We stayed out most of the day trying to find new people
- Taught some great lessons
- The Spirit was so strong when we taught Tatay Andrew about Jospeh smith and the Restoration of the true church on the earth!!
- hitchhiked a ride home


Saturday 
- We spent a lot of time inviting people to church! 
- Had another awesome lesson with Ashley!
- hitchhiked another free ride home
- Ate dinner at a members house!!


Sunday
- Waited at the Church for our investigators to come
- Went inside late cause we were still waiting
- During sacrament meeting we decided to go down and see if anyone would show up late
- Ashley came!!! Even though there was only a few minutes left, she still came!!


Scripture of the Week


Mosiah 24:14
24 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.


   This verse came from this weeks reading of Come Follow Me. The first thing I want to say is that I invite you all to use this inspired program to grow and nurture your faith in Jesus Christ. Second, I want to testify of how much this verse resonates with me, as pertaining to some experiences I have had during my mission. I testify with all of my heart, that the Lord is here for us. He can lift us in our burdens if we let Him. He'll take our pain if we follow Him. And He'll heal the past if we let His infinite Atonement work within us. 


    I know this because I have felt the burden of doubt, and He helped me endure. I've felt the pain of regret, and it was, in the words of Abinadi "swallowed up in Christ". I also know that many times, our pain isn't something that has a simple solution. This is where we have a choice. Who do you want by your side, helping you bare your cross? I know who I want. I know who I need. I need Jesus. I know we all need Jesus. Just reach out. Like the people of Alma, you too will be strengthend "even while you are in bondage."

   Hey ya'lllllll! Sorry the lack of emails for the past couple weeks!! So much stuff has been going on and I've been too tired to write em haha. Seek And Ye Shall Find

    Hey ya'll! Honestly, this week was a hard week. But, hindsight is a wonderful thing. I have a couple things that I don't think I would have realized or attributed to God were it not for the struggle! Lets get into the week!     So we started off the week with two exchanges! Which means we as leaders have another companionship come to our area and we show them how we are having success and also to learn from them!! I learned a ton from both of them. They are both great Elders. We were able to teach sister Mardel and find a lot of new friends!!     The rest of the week was super interesting. We tried to do what we usually do and just go to all of our friends in one day, but literally no one was available. We felt like we were getting very little work done.
