Spiritual Strength
Hey ya'll! This past week has been super spiritual and over all just guided by the lord. I'm thankful I get to share it with you!!
We started out the week with exchanges on Tuesday. Elder McArthur and I had a great day! We unfortunately had our day cut short by an earlier dinner appointment but still, I learned so much about how to work more effectively!!
Wednesday in Spanish is Miércoles. If you hear someone say it, and you don't know Spanish, you'd think they said "Miracles"!!! Well maybe that's just me, but our Wednesday was truly a miracle. We had absolutely no clue what to do on Wednesday morning. We tried to call and text our friends but nothing was working. We decided to go to one of our friends a little farther away. Once we got off of our bikes we checked our phone, we saw that we had missed a couple calls and texts from some Elders in our Zone (the farthest area). It was an emergency to say the least. We dropped everything and biked back as fast as we could. We grabbed a tricy and sped to their area. After a couple hours, everything was okay!! I know the Lord works in mysterious ways. We are truly His top priority. He knew those Elders would need us at that time. There's no doubt in my mind that it was a miracle.
Thursday was our Zone Conference. All of the missionaries going home next month got to share their testimonies. I'm very grateful for that opportunity. The spirit filled me from head to toe. I had to choke back a couple of tears but I survived.
Friday we had another exchange with Elder Medina!! He's only been in the mission 2 weeks and he's a stud. Taga Laguna siya. I learned lots and was able to share some old man advice hahaha.
Saturday we grinded and worked 12 hours straight. No kidding. We left at 8:30 am in the morning and came home at 9 pm. A great day of work.
Sunday we had 3 friends come to church and had some awesome finds ands lessons to cap off the week!!
Spiritual Thought
The Greatest Generation of Missionaries By Elder M. Russell Ballard
"Listen to those words, my young brethren: valiant, courage, strength, active, true. We don’t need spiritually weak and semicommitted young men. We don’t need you to just fill a position; we need your whole heart and soul. We need vibrant, thinking, passionate missionaries who know how to listen to and respond to the whisperings of the Holy Spirit. This isn’t a time for spiritual weaklings. We cannot send you on a mission to be reactivated, reformed, or to receive a testimony. We just don’t have time for that. We need you to be filled with “faith, hope, charity and love, with an eye single to the glory of God”
To all of you preparing to go on a mission, these are the missionaries the Lord needs. If you need to make changes, do it. There is nothing you could do after High-school that is more important than serving a worthy mission. Whether that's a service or proselytising mission. I wouldn't trade this mission for anything. I love it with all of my heart.
Peace
