Christ Centered

Good morning everyone!! I'll be giving a quick rundown of what happened this past week! Over all a super awesome week. I feel
my understanding deepening. Not only of gospel principles, but of the weight, the importance, and the beauty of the knowledge that each member of this church has. I'm truly grateful for my Father in Heaven's plan for me. Okay let's get into the week.

Tuesday we worked and worked. Just good old door knocking. We were able to find a lot of people but one lady stood out. Sister Rachelda. She really understands what we teach her. And she is really willing to ask us questions if she doesn't understand. She's awesome.

Wednesday we were able to teach quite a bit. Fortunately we got to teach one of our boys named Tatay Alexander. He's a stud. He is one of the past vice mayors of the city I'm in. You would think someone so wealthy and already set up in life would be hard to teach in some aspects. Nope! He's truly an odd case. In a good way! He believes everything we've taught him!! Including the Book of Mormon!! He loves it! Especially Alma haha.

Thursday. All day Christmas Conference!! I'll just link some pics for you guys to check out. We did an absurd dance and wore some interesting...... well you'll see.

Friday was getting back into the groove. We were super tired from all of the travel on thursday but we pushed through and were able to teach quite a few lessons including another one to Sister Rachelda!! She's killing it!!

Saturday was a crazy day. I'm going to skip to the very end. We had a lesson with one of our dearest friends, Sister Mardel. She is a teacher and up until this point in her life had been seeking worldly success in her chosen career. Then in 2014, she experienced a death in her family. Someone very close to her. She shared with us last night through tears, that she doesn't know if really had ever felt the joy that we taught about. The joy of being able to live with Heavenly Father again. It was sad. I saw one of my Sisters from the a life before this, lost, confused, and yearning to feel the love that only the gospel of Jesus Christ can bring. As of now. She is determined to push forward and keep meeting with us.

This is why my understanding has deepened. I am so grateful for the unadulterated love that we have access to. And I'm grateful I get to share that with people like Mardel.

    Scriptural thought

Acts 4:20

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard

We ought to all speak of those things which we have seen and heard. So that our brothers and sisters might come to a knowledge of the truth. That they might come to " sing the song of redeeming love ".

Love you all

Peace

Elder Baker
