We're Back

Okay, first of all, I'm very sorry to those of you who actually read my emails. I have been slacking! I think it's been a solid month since my last good update. I really needed to start up again. I feel it's another way for me to show the Lord I'm grateful for the experiences and challenges I've been having. The important thing is that I'm going to try to be more diligent in writing these updates for y'all! With that being said, let's get into the past couple weeks!!

Recap

• I was transferred to a new zone (Roxas Zone)

• We're in "Typhoon Season" right now

• My area is a biking area

• I'm back on the Tagalog study grind

This past week

On Tuesday, we traveled a couple of hours to the mission home for MLC (Mission Leadership Council). It was fun to see the other Elders from my MTC days. Always good to see President Cobing, of course. The other Elders and I were talking during lunch about the fact that we are now the "old heads" of the mission, hahaha. It's a little bit of pressure thinking about it like that, but in reality, it's nothing to worry about. We've all been trained by some amazing missionaries. We just gotta work, and the Lord will do the rest.

Wednesday was right back into the work. We had some Elders come for exchanges (we switch companions for one day). It was great to get to know my comp. His name's Elder Paco. He's from Quezon City. Super great Elder. We grinded out a good day of work. There's something about being on bikes that makes you feel like you're working hard.

Thursday we had a meeting with our district to talk about our successes as missionaries! As for the rest of the day, it was a pretty normal day. Just lots of finding and teaching!

Friday was interviews with President Cobing! It was great to get to talk with him one on one. After interviews, we were pretty wiped out. We took a quick power nap and got back out to our area!

Saturday is game day! One of our interested friends was interviewed for baptism and will be getting baptized this Saturday.

Sunday was such a good day! The miracles totally were seen. We had so many of our friends come to church! We snapped a couple of pictures with them that I'll send in another email!

Spiritual Thought

Luke 5:32

32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

This is a song to my soul. It helps me understand who the Savior came to earth for. ALL OF US!! Not one of us is perfect, and the Lord knows that. He came because He can't stand the thought of one of us not coming back home. He knows us and loves us perfectly. I know that is true. Let us respond to His call. Repent and come unto Him.

This is the end, y'all! Thanks so much for reading! If any of you guys have doctrinal questions or anything you want to ask, shoot me an email! I would love to include them in my prayers and studies! Love you guys so, so much!

Peace,

Elder Baker
