Shout Out To Dad (All Dads But Mostly Mine)

Hey everyone!! I feel like it's been way too long since I've written a good email for you guys!! Lots has happened these past 2 weeks and I'm excited to tell ya'll about it. But before we proceed to the action, there's one important matter to discuss..... if you need prayers, please please let me know. I would love to include any one of you in my prayers!

Now into the past 2 weeks

Highlights/Big stuff

-  I was transfered back to the city I was trained in back in October of last year

- I get to be companions with Elder Cuevas! Right now he's training me about how to be a zone leader and what my responsibilities are. Elder Cuevas is an amazing Elder though let me tell ya. My teaching has improved just by being companions for a week!

- we had 4 baptism in these past 2 weeks! They went so well!!

- The Bishopric of our ward asked us to speak and of course we hit a good ol' Sunday Morning Scramble. The talk turned out awesome though. No complaints

- We have a senior couple in our district, Sister and Elder Wayman!! They are like our district mom and dad. We love them so so much. If we ever mention not having eaten earlier that day, Sister Wayman will say "Honey! The Elders need to eat!! What do you guys want?" She so precious. Elder Wayman is a dawg too. Last week we were sitting in Elders quorum and he wasn't understanding anything of course cause it's Tagalog. I looked over and just saw him turn his hearing aid all the way to mute. Can't blame the guy. love him so much

- I was given the opportunity to confirm one of the people we baptized on Saturday!! I was really nervous but I just didn't let myself think about it and said yes. The spirit that was there was so strong. I'm so grateful they gave me that opportunity

- I'm not used to the Zone Leader Schedule yet but I'm learning to love it. One thing I realized comes with being a missionary leader is that I need to be setting an example. So we work very hard every day to reach the goals we set!

Spiritual thought

Matthew 9:10

10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples

This verse is so special to me. It shows me the Lords capacity to love unconditionally and how as a missionary, I shouldn't pick and choose who I want to talk to and teach. The Saviors standard was to reach out to ALL. I love Jesus Christ so much. He's taken my sins and yours. I'm so grateful for the knowledge of His Atonement. It makes life so much easier, even through the trials.

   Love ya'll so much!

Peace

Elder Baker
