Families
What's up everyone!? I hope your guys's week went well! My week weny really well!! If any of ya'll have anything going on right now and need some prayers, just let me know! Lets get into the week.
So Tuesday I flew back from Manila and got to hang out with some of the Elders at the Mission Home. We went out to lunch before I hopped on a bus anf headed back to my area. On the 4 hour bus ride back, I was able to talk with a few people about the gospel. It was so cool to be able to see my Tagalog working like that.
Wednesday we did a really cool activity with a white board. There's a massive week long festival here in our town for the sibuyas! Or in English, onions! We basically brought a white board out and wrote " what is the most important thing in you life " we got a lot of people to write!! We got a lot of findings too. We were able to find a whole family from one person we found!! We stayed outside all day and it was so fun though!
Thursday was alot of walking around and not a ton of lesson but some good bonding with my companion which was so fun. I'm so grateful for him. He's such a hard worker and he's just a fun guy.
Friday we did the White Board activity again! We had alot of success again! I think it helps when 2 white guys are standing there holding a board. Later that day we went and taught the husband of a member and oh my days he's such a sweet soul. He was talking to us about how his family and god are the most important things in his life. We ended up teaching about temples and eternal families!! That lesson I got to bare my testimony of how important my family is to me. I got a little teary eyed but we made it through. They had us stay for dinner too! It was really good that day overall!
Saturday we were able to invite a ton of people to church!!
Sunday, Unfortunately none of them came. Very sad but people do have their agency. We were able to extend for baptism to one of our friends though!! She said yes!!! So awesome!!
Spiritual thought of the Week
Intentionality. This is so important in the times we live in. As the world moves farther away from traditional values and beliefs, the daily decisions we make need to be intentionally directed towards the Savior and His love for us. We need to make sure we are intentionally giving the Savior and His teachings time in our lives. Filling our days with the light and love of the savior will cast out all fear of the future. I testify that our savior Jesus Christ already won the fight. It's now our job to choose each day
" whom ye will serve " . Choose to serve the Lord.
Love ya'll so so much! Again if anyone needs some prayers please reach out!!
Pictures in another email!
Peace
