"Do You Want To Be Happy "
Hey everyone!! I hope you're guys's week went well! Anyone who wants to shoot me an email is more than welcome to. I love reading em haha. Aight lets get into the week!!
Tuesday was a really good day. We went finding in the morning but weren't super successful. For some reason, very few people have time for a 3 minute message. Even though we we're rejected most of the morning, I felt the so strongly Heavenly Fathers love for these people. It helped us to not dwell on the rejections. For me, that was a perfect example of having the spirit of hope. Overall Tuesday was an awesome day though we weren't able to find or teach much.
Wednesday was a little different. We packed in the morning and then around lunch we headed to our Mission Conference in Cauayan. We stayed about an hour away at another Elders apartment Wednesday night. When we got to the elders apartment we were really hungry so we went to look for food. We were walking down the street and found 2 acceptable places. We couldn't agree on where to eat so we flipped a coin. When we got to the winning restaurant, some guy in there came over and said that he's a member and wants to pay for our food! He went all out too! So grateful for that guy!! The Lord watches out for His missionaries for reeeaaal.
Thursday we had our Mission Conference! And now I will explain the title of my email. Elder Choi of The Quorum of the Seventy was our Speaker/Guest!! He gave a talk in the last General conference! It was really good. Ya'll should go listen to it! But yeah. It was a sweet day. He talked a ton about the importance of obedience. The spirit was so strong. I may have shed some tears when we sang "I am a child of God". It was so good. We left Cauayan at 5pm and got home at 11pm. Such a good little break though.
Friday was a little slower but still great. We contacted a lot of people and taught 3 or 4 lessons. Unfortunately we kinda had to tell someone we're dropping them. They haven't come to church and they aren't keeping any of the commitments. But we'll still try to visit em once and a while.
Saturday was alot of inviting and just trying to find new people. We tried to contact everyone we know but we had a birthday party in the middle of the day which somewhat slowed down our day. But. Guess what! The Lord has a plan! We ended up meeting a girl who wanted to start taking lessons!! We are so happy. Her name is Eliza!!
Sunday was another miracle! We invited Eliza to Church and she came!! We were stoked. After church we got a picture with her and her friends. We found a super nice nanay later that night named Nadora. We're going to visit her again on sunday!!
So yeah, overall an amazing week. The hand of the Lord was guiding us even when we had no clue. So awesome.
Spiritual thought of the week
I have been thinking about the trials we all experience in this life. I truly believe that our Father in Heaven give us trials to not only strengthen our faith, but also, to give us the ability to help others as they experience those same hardships. I love all of you and I know that you're Heavenly Father knows and loves you perfectly.
Peace
