    What's up everyone!?! First week of 2024 in the books! So crazy. I hope ya'll at home and anywhere else are doing so good! This week was great, let's get into it

    Tuesday started off with the regular morning workout. Later that morning we had a fire lesson with on of our Nanays (older ladys). Her name is Agnes. We had a really good lesson on God's love for each one of us and about His perfect plan for each of us individually. By the end of the lesson the spirit was so strong. We invited her to continue praying about our message. We'll see how she's doing next week! The rest of the day was lots of people not being home or they we hammered drunk from New Year's. We ended up having an uneventful afternoon.

    Wednesday we had a few lessons fall through but ended up being able to teach an awesome Tatay. We've been trying to get him out to church and he's having a hard time committing. We talked about putting got first in our lives. He's softening up for sure hahaha.  After that we did a loooot of finding for the rest of the day.

     Thursday we had our district council meeting. It was good to see where we gotta improve. We definitely need to get the ward members in on our lessons. Having someone who isn't a missionary is so powerful. Especially if they are the same age as the person being taught. It's kinda funny to think about it, but to some of these people we probably seem like salesmen hahaha. 2 young men walking around with all of these promises that sound way to good to be true, but when we can get a member in the lesson to give their own testimony, SO HUGE!!! I've also found it helps to tell them why I personally came on a mission. That way they know me as a person and we can actually connect.

    Friday we went to an area we've never been to before that hasn't had missionaries before so we were pretty stoked. And we had a youth from our ward with us so that was sick!! He loves basketball and his English is actually so good, so we talked about the NBA alot, also what the heck, Damian Lilard is on the Bucks and Minnesota is Number 1 in the west!? Too much for me to think about for real hahaha. Anyways yeah we went finding there and found 4 amazing people. At the end of one of our lessons the nanay asked us if any of us were married. after that we explained a whole lot the calling of a missionary. We explained you have to be under a certain age and all that. Then she asked is how old we were, and when I said 19 she was so shocked hahaha. I guess if you're tall and white here they think you're like 24.

   Saturday was inviting! ( and the reason for the title of this email )We got to invite a ton of people to church the next day. At about 1 o'clock im just about to start my personal study and then the ZLs come into our room, one of them holding a hand to his head. He took his hand off and it was bleeding
 Apparently he got clipped by a low hanging roof. This roof must've been pretty darn low since this guys 5'2. Anyways we called our mission medical person and I got him all cleaned up hahaha. You see in the pictures. We finished off the day at a members house for his birthday dinner/party.

   Sunday. Ohhh Sunday. The best and the. So unfortunately no one came to church that we invited. It hurts for reeeaaal. Buttttt earlier in the week I was reading in PMG about "no effort waisted". Which brings me comfort. As long as I'm giving all my effort to the work, the Lord will magnify my efforts.

   Scripture of the week
3 Nephi 13:19-21
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and thieves break through and steal;
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Aaaaagh! So so true! The things that we value most in this life show our Heavenly Father where our heart really is. Of course we live in a time of material prosperity, but we also have the means to prosper spiritually as well. What I mean is, we have the scriptures in our pockets all day! But we all know that having them isn't enough. We gotta use em. Don't take for granted the gifts God has given us!!

    Alright ya'll. This is the end. Sorry that was so long. Let me know if you guys want shorter emails or if these are okay. Anyways, you guys know you can just waiting for the other Emails with the pictures. Speaking of pictures, lemme get those sent out!! Love you all!

Peace
