We Definitely Need Bikes

What's up everyone! I hope ya'll are doing well. This week was good! A little bit of a slower one but still so rewarding as the work of the Lord always is. Even if getting up at 6:30 is way hard, I'm making it through it though hahaha.

This week's email might be a little shorter since I don't have a ton of new updates.

Tuesday was good. We were able to teach 3 or 4 lessons and had a dinner a appointment with one of the members which was so nice I didn't have to cook hahaha since I really only know how to make like 3 things. I should've taken my mom up on those offers to teach me how to cook before I left for sure. But the crazy thing that happened after dinner was that we had an URGENT meeting with President Cobing (Our Mission President), it was with all of missionaries in the Cauayan mission so we knew it was something big. Anyways, the meeting was to announce that the Cauayan mission will be splitting into 2 missions! As of July 2024 it will split into the Cauayan Philippines mission and the Tuguegarao Philippines mission! So if I get transferred into the Tuguegarao area before next July, I could be finishing my mission in a different mission than the one I was called to! So so crazy. But I mean I'll go where the Lord needs me to go so we'll seeeeee!

Wednesday was pretty melo. We taught 5 lessons and contacted a few people. Something funny happened during one of our lessons though hahaha. We were teaching 2 sisters and her dad was outside with his buddy's drinking which was a little distracting since they were so loud. But it what was even more distracting was when I looked out and see one their dad's friends was trying on my boots, and Filipinos have tiny feet for the most part so these were massive on him. That was hilarious to watch.

Wednesday and Thursday were pretty chill. Just teaching lots of Lessons. I'm so grateful we get to teach so much. It really gives me an opportunity to speak the words I do know in tagalog.

Friday and Saturday were pretty slow. We got punted from almost all of our appointments which was tough. But we got to walk alooooooot since I refused to pay for a tricy ride if the appointments were within walking distance. I barely have enough money for food out here and were tryna pay for a ride when we could walk for 10 minutes. Yeah no thanks I'll walk lol. Plus im trying to be like Jesus. He walked everywhere fr. ( and I need money for food) .

Sunday was awesome. We extended a baptismal invitation and they accepted! The lesson was guided by the spirit the whole time. So awesome.

   Verse of the week

   Omni 1:26
26 And now, my beloved brethren, I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved.

I know that through full commitment to living the gospel of Jesus Christ, we will be truly happy and we will see the heavens open as Elder Jeffrey R. Holland has promised.

Aight that's the end! Jeez sorry that was not short my bad haha. Love yall a ton!

Peace
