1 MONTH
Kamusta ang lahat! This past week week felt super long but it was really good! There is an election going on right now and for some reason that means literally everyone is busy all day. So silly. If I didn't know any better I would think they're using it as an excuse just to not talk to our message.
Tuesday we weren't able to teach much unfortunately. We spent most of the day walking around iba't ibang kapitbahayan (different neighborhoods)
Which was good since we were able to talk to lots of people in the street. We found 3 new people. So awesome
Wednesday and Thursday were more of the same. Lots of street contacting and findings. We found 2 people on wednesday and 4 more on thursday. Thursday we had zone interviews with President Cobing. That was nice to be able to talk with him. He said something a little interesting " because of the war in Israel, and since you're a foreigner, you have to be careful. There are sympathizers everywhere." Ummmmm okay. That's low key scary but whatever.
Friday and Saturday were really good. The street contacting and findings continued. We found 3 on Friday and 2 on Saturday. That brought our findings to 14 for the week. I love finding people. The hard part is remembering all of their needs. But it's one of the best feelings when something I prepared in my personal study helps them. I love that.
I've been playing basketball 3-4 mornings a week here which has been really good. The other 2 or 3 days I just lift weights. With what weights you ask? Wait till the pictures and you'll see hahaha.
Learning the language can be pretty discouraging but also super fulfilling. I can see how the Lord is magnifying my efforts.
Scripture of the week
1 Nephi 17:50
50 And I said unto them: If God had commanded me to do all things I could do them. If he should command me that I should say unto this water, be thou earth, it should be earth; and if I should say it, it would be done.
I know that because God has called me to preach in the Tagalog language, through my effort and help from the Lord I will be able to do it.
Love Ya'll!
Peace
