Kamusta sa lahat!?!


      What's up ya'll!? It's officially my final few days here in Provo! What a ride it has been! It's been an exhausting month here but I've really loved every second of it. Learning this language has really helped me turn to the Lord daily. I have seen when I include him in every part of my day, the effort I put in is exponentially increased. Unfortunately it's not every day I take advantage of the help the Savior offers me. As I look back on the days where I may have fallen short of my goals or maybe didn't put full effort into some of my classes, that's when I remember President Nelson's plea for us to " find joy in daily repentance. ". I truly have found that joy in being able to change everyday as I strive to be the disciple my savior needs me to be. 


     This past week in our classes, our teachers give us " Cultural Moments " where they show us pictures and videos from their missions in the Philippines! I learned that the area I'll be serving in is one of the poorest places in the Philippines and we will most likely be living in a concrete hut. And the temperature gets up to 110 Fahrenheit with 100% humidity. can honestly say that I am so excited though! I know this is where I'm supposed to going! The only thing I'm slightly concerned about are the Bathroom spiders. They get up to the diameter of a basketball. And they are scary fast. But imma be alright. I think. 


       One thing that was so cool from last week was the Tuesday night devotional! Instead of having an ecclesiastical leader or an apostle speak, Jenny Oaks Baker came and preformed 3 or 4 songs! Since music is one of my favorite ways to feel the spirit this was a special time for me. I'd be lying if I said I didn't shed a few tears hahaha. But yeah that was super cool. 


     Here are just a few miscellaneous things. I got booked in for my last Bathroom Haircut with my boy Elder Howells, he gives the best fades in the MTC. We got our travel plans last night! I check out Saturday morning at 11:43 and fly out of salt lake at 6. We go from here to LA to Seoul Korea and then to Manila! Oh also!! I get to have an MTC birthday this Thursday! Pretty stoked to celebrate it with the other elders! I might treat myself to a cookies and cream chocolate milk from the vending machine!

  Oy, Kamusta kayo!? Magandang hapon sa lahat! Sana naging maganda ang araw nyo ngayon! I hope your guys week went well and you were able to se the Lords hand in it. This was a learning week for me. Like The Temple?

What a week! I hope everyone is doing well! In this email I'm going to share a little about my week and then a cool little realisation I had this week!    This past week I was able to go on exchanges with one of the Elders in our zone that is really having a rough time in their companionship. He's doing his best to be the good companion, district leader, and disciple of Christ that he can be, but he keeps having a hard time with his companion. On our exchages we had an amazing day. We taught by the spirit, found by the spirit, and felt the joy of sharing the gospel. Later that night as we were walking home, he said something I won't forget. He said " there really isn't anything more happy than sharing the gospel. I don't feel this happy doing anything else. This whole day with you I have felt this same joy. " I just wanted to hug this Elder. He has so many other things that could have been weighing him down, but he let the waves of joy that come come from ...

Christ Centered

     Good morning everyone!! I'll be giving a quick rundown of what happened this past week! Over all a super awesome week. I feel my understanding deepening. Not only of gospel principles, but of the weight, the importance, and the beauty of the knowledge that each member of this church has. I'm truly grateful for my Father in Heaven's plan for me. Okay let's get into the week.      Tuesday we worked and worked. Just good old door knocking. We were able to find a lot of people but one lady stood out. Sister Rachelda. She really understands what we teach her. And she is really willing to ask us questions if she doesn't understand. She's awesome.     Wednesday we were able to teach quite a bit. Fortunately we got to teach one of our boys named Tatay Alexander. He's a stud. He is one of the past vice mayors of the city I'm in.
